The eDNA Laboratory of LNRA is an independent research facility for environmental genetic analysis capable of conducting commercial research to identify the presence of protected species in aquatic environments.
The eDNA Laboratory combines stationary and mobile facilities, allowing flexible research both in controlled environments and directly in the field. This setup enables effective analysis of environmental DNA, regardless of sample location, ensuring precision and repeatability of results.
The stationary laboratory is located in Czarnowo, in the Zławieś Wielka borough. It is equipped with modern instruments and an appropriate organization of space, eliminating the risk of contamination. Each laboratory zone is physically separated, allowing controlled sample flow and workflow.
The laboratory consists of:
The mobile laboratory is a specially adapted 4×4 off-road vehicle, enabling molecular research in field conditions. Thanks to independent power sources and a custom interior, it allows for rapid sample preparation and eDNA isolation directly at the collection site. Its design ensures access to hard-to-reach areas, facilitating research in remote and challenging locations.
